Crimson Desert is the talk of the town and one of the hotly anticipated games of this decade. Developed by Pearl Abyss, it is expected to be officially released across multiple platforms in April 2025. With a couple of boss battle gameplay releases, we know a bit about this upcoming open-world adventure game. Some of the threats of Pywel we’ve seen so far are the White Horn, Staglord, the Queen Stoneback Crab, Reed Devil, and Split Horn.
The kingdom of Valencia called it Crimson Desert because of the blood of many soldiers. In the vast continent of Pywel, Kliff, the protagonist and captain of the Greymanes, ventures to reunite his scattered companions and fulfil the group’s mission. Recently, Pearl Abyss released 50 minutes of early gameplay video on YouTube; it showed in-depth missions, multiple attire options for the player, and armor. A clash of swords between Kliff and Matthias, a wandering knight of Hernand, is another impressive fight to watch out for.

Crimson Desert Mobile Release Date, Features, And More
The game’s PC version is Crimson Desert Online, and the mobile-friendly APK version is Crimson Desert Mobile.
The Crimson Desert Mobile (CDM) edition features will be similar to those for Black Desert Mobile (BDM). The smartphone version of the game will be available on both iOS and Android operating systems. The entire scenario of Crimson Desert Mobile is set in a continent called Pywel, and the game is intensely focused on the mercenaries struggling to survive in an action-packed open world.
The CDM will likely have many missions to help you progress without hardcore grinding. The weapons choices include Bows, Crossbows, multiple variants of arrows, axons, cannons, explosives, and, interestingly, force-palm power to generate waves.
The mobile version of Crimson Desert combat graphics is expected to be a little lighter than the PC/console version. The game mechanics used while playing on PC or PS5 will give the game a more realistic feel. The map will be larger this time than BDM, with more events and missions across the desert.
Apart from Kliff Macduff, the other characters are Jules, the so-called female archer, Ellay, the black dog, and Young Lord. Not much information is available about these characters as of now.
As per the latest leaks, Crimson Desert mobile will be released in Q2 2025 worldwide.
Although the overall feedback from the fans about the gameplay demos was impressive, there were a couple of comments about the trailer’s shortcomings. For example, the sound of Kliff’s footsteps is the same when walking or riding his horse on different terrains. Another instance is whether the game’s NPCs (Non-player characters) can be attacked.
If the company pulls this off right, it could be the best game in history. With multiple big launches in 2025, including GTA VI and Monster Hunter Wilds, the bets are high on Crimson Desert.
