Crimson Desert isn’t the next release from Pearl Abyss after all, DokeV is arriving soon

Crimson Desert is expected to be one of the biggest launches of 2025 alongside GTA 6. After a successful wrap on the Gamescom 2024 event, Crimson Desert received positive feedback from the players, and the action-packed multiple gameplay demos released made an impression.

There were some murmurings about a potential release date for Pearl Abyss’s upcoming action-adventure game. Although the company has not officially confirmed it, it is expected to hit the consoles in May 2025.

However, it might not be Pearl Abyss’s next game after Black Desert. According to recent rumors, the South Korean game developer is gearing up to release DokeV at the end of this year.

DokeV is a creature-collecting open-world action-adventure game filled with intriguing stories set up in a unique and vibrant world. The DokeV official trailer has confirmed that this game is set around the many characters, Dokebi, who live alongside humans and encourage people’s dreams, from which they gain strength.

The in-game footage of DokeV shows a gorgeous and colorful world brimming with activities, stories, and vibrant experiences. The game is more like a Pokemon and has robotic creatures as well. As a player and the story’s main character, your mission will be to free the Dokebi from the company’s robots. The company is using Dokebi to create its AI chips. As claimed in the initial development days, DokeV is not an MMO.

According to the trailer, the game has different transportation methods for players to explore and complete missions. From travelling on skates to flying using an umbrella, the game sets a full-on adventure in an open-world game.

The combat theme includes the player using a water gun, hammer or steel fighting type combination. Either way, this would be a fun way to add an incredible attraction to the game’s interaction.

On the other hand, Crimson Desert’s latest gameplay battle boss trailers released showed Kliff Macduff’s nice, crunchy combat skills using a sword and shield. Both games will be available on previous and next-gen console platforms. DokeV will use the same in-game AI engine as the Crimson Desert. Stay tuned for more updates and news.
