UPDATE – Monster Hunter Wilds release date is confirmed for February 28, 2025. Sony’s September 2024 State of Play livestream confirmed the official release date of Monster Hunter Wilds. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Rumors are swirling around the release date of Monster Hunter Wilds, and the pre-order details remain a mystery until Capcom makes the official announcement. So, it should not be surprising that Monster Hunter Wilds excitement is gaining momentum each day, and the game is close to its official release. When it is released, it will be the first game available on all platforms from day one.

Here’s something we do know: The new edition of Monster Hunter Game is expected to be released in the second week of January 2025, and the pre-orders will start around the same time. The official release date is for Japan and US. Other countries will have to wait for few more weeks after the initial release. Here’s when the earlier editions of the game were released:

Monster Hunter: March 2004

Monster Hunter 2: February 2006

Monster Hunter Tri (3): August 2009

Monster Hunter 4: September 2013

Monster Hunter World: January 2018

Monster Hunter Wilds: February 2025.

Note: Other editions were released between the major launches as well. These include Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Freedom, Monster Hunter Now, Monster Hunter Stories, and Monster Hunter Frontier.

The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Steam, and Xbox Series. Capcom has made notable changes to Hunting in the upcoming game. The new game mechanics, fighting moves, both traditional and new-gen weapons, and different types of equipment make it better than before.

The gameplay and demo will be available at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2024 and the company has already confirmed the same.

Not only has the company updated the environment for the live-action, world-packed game, but the new monsters also adapt to challenges like those in the real world. The map of Monster Hunter Wilds consists of Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest in the Forbidden Lands, and the focus-mode feature will even make the game more exciting.
